Pro Bono for Purpose is back!
Cavill Stone , October, 2024

After a successful launch earlier this year, we're so excited to share that Pro Bono for Purpose is back for 2025 to provide not-for-profit organisations and charities the opportunity to harness the power of public relations and drive significant and sustainable change.

Our 'Pro Bono for Purpose' grants are tailored towards NFPs and charities across Australia, giving them the chance to receive a $5,000 or $10,000 grant for media relations. The grants are designed to give organisations the opportunity to build momentum through media relations and amplify their message across radio, tv, print and digital outlets.

We were absolutely blown away by the quantity and quality of submissions we received for last years’ grants program and we are so excited to be taking on new submissions for campaigns to be delivered in 2025.

We have a long history of working alongside some truly incredible charities and we know the impact that a great PR campaign can deliver. We're delighted to give NFPs that might not have a budget for PR the opportunity to experience that impact firsthand and raise awareness for their cause.

Last year, we received over 140 submissions for our program, and it was extremely difficult to narrow it down to just four! We involved our team in the selection process and awarded some truly incredible charities with $30,000 worth of media relations support.

The 2024 recipients included DV Safe Phone, Motherless Daughters, Gather My Crew and the Emergency Medicine Foundation. The campaigns made an incredible impact across communities around Australia with founders reporting back increased engagement across socials, new app downloads, increased donations and greater awareness within their industries.

To qualify for the MediaCast 'Pro Bono for Purpose' grant, organisations must meet specific criteria, including having clear objectives to create a positive impact through a media relations campaign. Grant applications close on the 29th November, and applicants must be registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission and based in Australia.

The grant can be used to cover the full value or part value of a media relations campaign. The successful grant applicants will be notified by the 20th December 2024, and we encourage all eligible organisations to apply!
